How to Change the Light on a 2002 Buick Regal


The exterior lights on your 2002 Buick Regal are important for the safety of your vehicle and especially for you and other occupants. Driving your Regal with any of the lights not in working condition could lead to an accident. In most states, the local authorities can even ticket you for driving with a broken light. Therefore, it is important to replace any light as soon as it burns out. Replacing the lights on your Regal is simple and should take only a few minutes.

Change Light


Open the hood and turn off the engine. Pull up on the headlamp retainers to release the headlamp assembly locator tabs. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly. Slide the assembly out of the slots and remove the rubber access cover from the bulb that you wish to replace. The smaller bulb is the high-beam bulb requiring a 9005-type bulb. The larger bulb is the low-beam bulb requiring a 9006-type bulb.
