The headlights on a Ford Tempo are adjusted by two small screws on the left and right side of the headlights. Adjusting the headlights is not difficult, but you may need to adjust them a few times before you get the angle of the light beam correct. Little in terms of tools will be needed, and adjusting the headlights will take you about five minutes or less for each headlight.
Tools Used: Tools, Small Phillips screwdriver
Locate the two adjustment screws on the left and right side of the headlight. Start the engine and turn on the headlight. Turn the dim lights on because you will need the look at the light. Turn the adjustment screws, using the screwdriver to the right to lower the light or turn the adjustment screws to the left to raise the headlight. You will need to make each adjustment screw flush with the other one so that the headlights are even. Drive your Ford Tempo slowly down the street to see if the headlights need another adjustment. If the headlights need to be adjusted, then repeat the above steps.
