The Nissan Silvia was never released in America, though a slower engine was placed in the Silvia body and sold as the Nissan 240sx. Since many carenthusiasts long for the Silvia’s peppier engine, there is a market to not only import the Silvia but also import just the engine and place it in a 240sx. So while it was never officially sold in the U.S., there are a number of Nissan Silvias on the road, and should you be lucky enough to own one, knowing how to replace the fuel pump could come in handy.
Tools Used: Tools, Metric socket set, Screwdriver, Pliers
Change the Fuel Pump
Detach the fuse for the fuel system and run the car until it stalls out. This will depressurize the fuel system and make it safer to work on.
