You car won’t run smoothly and your engine will be at risk if you don’t check your oil routinely. On the Plymouth Neon, owners can reference the markings on their dipstick to check oil levels and gauge how much their car needs.
Read the Oil Dipstick
Park your Plymouth Neon on a level surface and wait a few minutes but not too long. You want to avoid waiting too long after the engine is shut off because the oil needs to be warm for accurate readings.
Find the engine oil dipstick. It has an easy-to-grasp handle. Grasp the handle at the top and gently pull the Plymouth Neon dipstick out of the sheath. Wipe it off with a rag or tissue that is lint-free to clean it.
