The Subaru Outback’s complex power mirror and door panel construction makes it a replacement project for an experienced do-it-yourself vehicle owner. However, the project only requires a few basic tools for all model years.
Tools Used: Tools, Screwdriver, Wrench
Replace Power Mirror
Remove the Old Mirror
Disconnect the negative battery cable before you take off the Outback’s front door trim panel. Remove all screws and clips using a door trim tool you buy at an auto repair shop.
Detach the mirror’s electrical wire connector located under the door panel near the interior mirror casing.
