How to Replace a Fuel Filter on a Volvo S70

The fuel filter in your S70 keeps dirt, sand, and other contaminants from your fuel supply. These contaminants could damage parts of your engine, including injectors and other components. The S70 fuel filter is in the same location and of the same type as a Volvo 850. Replacing the fuel filter is about a 20 minute job if you aren’t familiar with the procedure. If you’ve done similar jobs before, it should only take 5 or 10 minutes once you’ve allowed the fuel pressure to release.

Tools Used: Tools, Car ramps or floor jack, New fuel filter, Pan, Wrench set, Flat blade screwdriver

Replace a Fuel Filter

Place your car on ramps or a very stable floor jack. Make sure your car is securely elevated to prevent it from falling and causing an injury.
