How to Install the Spare Tire Kit on a 2018 Honda Civic

Download 2018 Honda Civic Spare Tire Kit Installation Instructions – 1. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the spare tire rim as shown. 2. Remove the adhesive backing from the caution label, and attach the caution label to the spare tire rim as shown. 3. Use a tire changer to install the spare tire (sold separately) onto the spare tire rim. Inflate the spare tire to 60 psi (414 kPa). Installing the Spare Tire Kit 4. Fold down the rear seats, and remove the clip as shown.

5. Remove the trunk floor cover, and set it aside. 6. Remove the old tool box, and set it aside. 7. Install the wheel nut wrench/jack handle, extension bar, and tow hook into the new tool box. 8. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the spare tire well as shown. 9. Install the spare tire assembly, and secure to the vehicle as shown. Tighten the bolt securely. NOTE: Make sure the label side on the rim is down. 10. Install the new tool box and side inserts into the trunk area as shown. 11. Install the new trunk floor cover (supplied in kit), and install the clip.
