In 2002, Honda significantly changed the Civic, giving it more aggressive body-lines, as well as elongating the headlight and taillight assemblies. The 2002 Civic LX came in both a coupe and sedan body style. A 115-horsepower, 1.7-liter four-cylinder engine powered the 2002 Civic LX. The spark plugs in this engine required replacement every 110,000 to help keep the Civic’s engine running well as long as possible. To access the Civic’s spark plugs, you must remove the small plastic cover on top of the engine and remove the coil packs.
