It only takes a few tools to change your vehicle’s oil. While it may seem intimidating to do an oil change on a 2008 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 liter engine, it really is not that difficult a job. The skid plate that protects the undercarriage, and thereby the oil filter, is designed to come off for access to the underside of the engine. The filter is different, since it is a paper insert replacement instead of the traditional screw on filter and housing combo. The rest of the oil change is standard – drain the old out and put new one in.
