Download Cylinder Head Removal 1. Remove the lower intake manifold; refer to the procedure in this section. 2. Remove the LH valve cover. 1. Remove the three valve cover bolts. 2. Remove the two valve cover stud bolts. 3. Remove the LH valve cover. 3. Remove the RH valve cover. 1. Remove the two valve cover bolts. 2. Remove the three valve cover stud bolts. 3. Remove the RH valve cover. 4. Remove the exhaust manifold; refer to the procedure in this section. 5. If removing the LH cylinder head, position the power steering pump reservoir aside. 1. Remove the three bolts. 2. Position the power steering reservoir aside. 6. If removing the LH cylinder head and, if equipped, remove the A/C compressor; refer to Section 412-03 . 7. If removing the LH cylinder head, remove and support the A/C compressor bracket and power steering pump. 1. Remove the two A/C compressor bracket bolts. 2. Remove the two A/C compressor bracket nuts. 3. Loosen the remaining (A) A/C compressor bracket bolt until the (B) A/C compressor bracket and power steering pump are free from the LH cylinder head. Support the A/C compressor bracket and power steering pump and position aside. 8. If removing the RH cylinder head, remove the generator (GEN) (10346); refer to Section 414-02 . 9. If removing the RH cylinder head, remove the idler pulley. 1. Remove the bolt. 2. Remove the idler pulley. 10. If removing the RH cylinder head, remove the generator bracket. 1. Remove the three bolts. 2. Remove the generator bracket. CAUTION: If the components are to be reinstalled, they must ,…
