Many models of the Toyota Avalon are equipped with an air conditioning filter that keeps the air in the ventilation system clean. The filter traps dust, pollen and allergens to prevent them from entering the vehiclefrom the outside air intake system. Toyota recommends changing the AC filter every 10,000 miles or at least once per year. If you drive in abnormal conditions that contain a lot of airborne pollutants, you should inspect the filter more often and replace it when it becomes dirty.
