Download Always keep safety in mind when working on your vehicle. I. Preparing the Vehicle 1. Begin the installation by elevating the car. Secure the frame with jack stands (Figure 1). 2. Remove the rear wheels. 3. Remove the sway bar from the framerail and discard. II. Removing the Rear Suspension 1. Remove the lower shock bolt and retain. 2. Jack the vehicle up until the coil spring is loose enough to be removed (Figure 2). 3. Remove the bolts on both sides of the lower control arm and retain. 4. Remove the lower control arm and discard. III. Assembling the Air Spring Assembly 1. Place the air sleeve upper end cap to the under side of the mounting bracket (B) using two bolts (I), flat washers (L) and lock washers (J) (Figure 3). Torque to 25 ft/lbs. 2. Place the air fitting (K) onto the end of the sleeve. IV. Installing the Upper Air Sleeve Mount 1. Locate the hook on the upper bracket (B) and place the hook on the inside of the outer lip on the upper spring pocket (Figure 4). 2. Place a self-tapping screw (E) through the outer mounting tab and tighten. NOTE: Be careful not to over-tighten the self-tapping screw to avoid stripping the threads. V. Installing the Lower Control Arm 1. Using the previously removed hardware, mount the control arm (A) to the inner mount and loosely fasten the nut. 2. Rotate the control arm up until it rests on the outer control arm mount and loosely fasten the bolt. 3. Compress the air sleeve (C) until it will fit into the hole located in the control arm.
