Download SERVICE INFORMATION If an applied vehicle exhibits: Engine coolant under the vehicle when parked Smell of coolant when engine is warm, The cause may be coolant leaking between the water outlet housing and intake manifold sealing surfaces (see Fig. 1 ). Refer to the SERVICE PROCEDURE to resolve this incident, should it occur. NOTE: A leak from the above noted area can be verified by a visual inspection.Fig. 1: Intake Manifold Water Outlet SERVICE PROCEDURE Install the new fiber gasket (refer to the PARTS INFORMATION section) between the water outlet housing and intake manifold as follows: CAUTION: Be careful not to spill engine coolant on electrical connectors, drive belts, etc. when performing the following procedure.
