STEP 3: Reconnect the window switch electrical connector. STEP 3a: If the window motor operates, move the window into a position where you can access the 10mm bolts that hold the window guide clamps and go to step 5. If the window motor does not operate, go to step 4. STEP 4: Cut the window regulator cable with a cable cutter so that you can manually move the window where you can access the window guide bolts. STEP 5: Loosen the 10mm window guide bolts enough so that the window can be separated easily from the clamps. Do not remove the bolts or loosen all the way. The window glass needs to be supported by the clamps until the glass is secured. STEP 6: Operate the switch or manually push the window into the full up position. Secure the window in place using a wooden or rubber wedge between the door frame and the window or simply tape the window to the door frame. Be careful to use tape that does not damage the paint on the door frame. STEP 7: Disconnect the electrical plug from the window lift motor.
