Two things make an internal combustion engine function: fuel and fire. If the engine in a Camry isn’t working the way it should, then it’s because there’s a restriction on one or the other. If it’s fuel, then the two most common problems are a clogged fuel filter and a malfunctioning fuel pump. Check the filter for clogs, and then check the pump and fuel lines.

Lift the rear end of the Camry with a floor jack, and support it by the frame with jack stands. Locate the gas tank centered under the backseat of the car.
