Download Original Exhaust System Removal Note: With a used vehicle, we suggest a penetrating spray lubricant to be applied liberally to all exhaust fasteners and allowing a significant period of time for the chemical to lubricate the threads before attempting to disassemble. 1. Using a reciprocating saw or a hack saw, cut the exhaust just behind the muffler as shown in figure 1. 2. Lubricate all hangers and rubber isolators. 3. Using a muffler stand or an additional person to hold the tail pipe up into position, remove the hanger from the rub-ber isolator and remove the tail pipe as shown in figure 2 from the vehicle. 4. Unbolt the flange and clamp shown in figure 3 located in front of the muffler assembly. 5. Using a muffler stand or an additional person to hold the muffler assembly up into position, remove the hangers from the rubber isolators and remove the muffler assem-bly from the vehicle. Borla Performance Cat-Back Exhaust System Installation 1. Using the hardware supplied, place both right and left front pipes into position as shown in figure 4 making sure to install the hanger from the right front pipe into the rubber isolator. Hand tighten the hardware for now. 2. Place a clamp over the expanded ends of the muffler assembly and set it into position as shown in figure. Do Not tighten the clamps. 3. Place a clamp over the expanded ends of the tail pipe assembly and set it into position as shown in figure 6 making sure to install the hangers into the rubber isolators. Do Not tighten the clamps.
