Download 2009-Up Cadillac CTS-V HPE Air Induction System Installation Installation Step 1: Remove Factory Air Induction Assembly Removal of the factory air induction assembly is straightforward. Start by removing the surrounding plastic covers and placing them somewhere out of the way so as not to cause any damage and provide ample working space. Using basic tools, disconnect the intake from the throttle body, unclip the mass airflow (MAF) sensor and disconnect the breather hose. Remove the factory air filter and air box, revealing an opening to the lower fender wall. Step 2: Installing the HPE Air Induction Tube At the throttle body, ensure all wires and hoses are properly routed and out of the way. The mass airflow sensor (MAF) must be transferred from the factory air intake to the HPE induction. Simply unscrew the unit and install it on the new mount before installing the tube. Step 3: Installing the High Flow Air Filter Attach and secure the filter to the tube using the supplied band clamp. Step 4: Wrap Up Make sure all clamps, electrical connectors and hoses are tightly secured. When replacing your factory engine bay covers, you will leave off the small portion that once attached to the factory air box.
