Download Installation 1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Setting the Control Unit 2. Touch the metal part of the screwdriver to any metal part of the vehicle to discharge any static electricity. 3. Using a small flat-tip screwdriver, change the dip switches on the control unit to the settings. NOTE: • The switches must be set before the control unit is plugged in. • If the switch settings are not correct, the remote engine starter will not operate correctly. • If you change the switch settings with the unit connected, you must disconnect the unit, then reconnect it before the new settings are recognized. 4. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the area where the protective tape will attach. Attach the protective tape to the control unit over the switches. 5. Remove the left and right lenses from the map light console (four retaining tabs for each lens). Remove the two bolts. With Moonroof • Remove the map light console (unplug three vehicle connectors). Remove the switch (four retaining tabs). Without Moonroof and With Hands Free Link • Remove the map light console (unplug two vehicle connectors). Without Moonroof and Hands Free Link • Remove the map light console (unplug the vehicle connector). 6. Remove the driver’s and passenger’s sunvisor holders. 7. Wrap the tip of a flat-tip screwdriver with tape. Locate the slot in the bracket cover, and insert the flat-tip screwdriver into the slot. Push the hook with the screwdriver. 8. While pushing in on the hook, rotate the driver’s sunvisor backward about 45°. Make sure the hook slides into the bracket cover.
