The fuel filter in your Volkswagen Passat cleans dirt, grime, rust and dust out of the fuel that enters your engine, keeping the inside of your motor clean and running well. If a fuel filter is used for too long without replacement, these particles may get through, causing serious engine damage. Keep your Passat running its best by changing the fuel filter every 45,000 miles.
