The front strut assembly is a part of the front suspension of your 2002 Honda CR-V. A strut assembly helps your car to absorb the bumps and dips of a road, and it acts as a shock absorber to dampen the impact of road irregularities. If your vehicle is bouncing excessively in the front end, bottoming out or nosediving when you apply the brakes, replace the front strut assembly of your Honda CR-V.
Tools Used: Tools, Lug wrench, Jack, Jack stands, Hammer, Punch, Sockets, Ratchet
Replace the Front Struts
Loosen the lug nuts, and jack the front end of the vehicle. Place jackstands, securely, under the frame of the CR-V. Remove the lug nuts and wheel.
Remove the brake hose bracket, after unbolting it from the strut assembly. Detach the speed sensing device wiring harness from the strut, if the vehicle is equipped with antilock brakes.
