An ignition kill switch on a Chevy 350 is not difficult to install. An ignition kill switch is a great deterrent to auto theft. The car can’t be started as long as the key is in the off position. The most common way to kill the ignition is to install a switch between the distributor and ignition control module’s negative coil wire. A common on-off switch can be used and hidden, or the best bet is to purchase a key-operated switch from an auto parts store. This way, if the switch is located, it still can’t be operated without the key.
