The Hyundai Tiburon alternator generates and distributes electricity throughout the car to the accessories. Many people believe that the electricity for accessories such as the radio comes from the battery, but this is true only if the engine is off. In fact, in order for your car to run, the alternator is necessary since the battery is not able to handle the electrical requirements by itself. The car would run for only a few minutes before the battery drains and the engine shuts off. When you begin to notice problems such as lights that are dimmer than normal, you need to change the alternator.
