How to Repair a Fuel Injector on a Nissan Maxima

16

Nissan Maxima models use fuel-injection systems to control the air-to-fuel ratio in the car’s engine. Fuel injectors replaced the carburetor in the late 1980s, providing improved fuel efficiency and better response to sudden throttle movements. The fuel injector itself is very small, consisting only of a nozzle and a valve. It needs to be replaced when you notice a rough idle or a slowed throttle response.
