When your BlackBerry “lock” feature is enabled, you will be required to enter a password every time you turn on your device before you can view your main menu. This is to protect your phone in the event that you lose it. You can disable this BlackBerry locking feature at any time through the unit’s “Settings” menu.
Press “Power” to turn on your BlackBerry.
Select the “Options” menu application on your BlackBerry.
Select the “Security” option from the resulting Options menu on your BlackBerry.
Choose “General Settings.”
Select the “Disabled” option next to the “Password” field. This will disable the locking functionality on your BlackBerry.
