As it has done at the same time every year since 2008, Apple launched its newest iPhone variant–the “4G”–in June 2010. To coincide with this release, AT&T offered certain iPhone customers the opportunity to upgrade their devices, contingent on said customers extending their service contracts. If you want to upgrade your existing iPhone to an iPhone 4G in accordance with this promotion, you must first find out whether or not you qualify for the upgrade and then contact AT&T to proceed.
