DirecTV is one of the most prominent choices for satellite television service, both for home and for business. Whether you replace one television in a lobby or a dozen in individual rooms, you’ll have to reprogram your DirecTV remotes to work with the new sets. DirectTV’s systems are compatible with a variety of TVs, including many Sony Bravia models.
1. Turn on your TV and DirecTV box. Press “Menu” on your remote. Navigate to “Parental, Favs and Setup” and choose “System Setup.” Pick “Remote” and select the option to program it.
2. Slide the switch on top of your remote control to “TV” mode. Press and hold “Mute.” Press the “Select” button until the light on your remote flashes.
3. Press the following sequence of numbers on the number pad of your remote: 9911. The light should flash on your remote.
4. Press the button to move the channel up, while pointing the remote at your Bravia televison. The set will power down when you’ve come across the correct code.
