If your Pontiac Bonneville needs a new fuel tank, installing one isn’t difficult, but it’s a job that should be undertaken with great care. If you take your time and take all proper precautions before you begin, you’ll have no problems. These instructions work best with a 1996 or later model Pontiac Bonneville.

Install a Fuel Tank
Unhook the negative battery cable before you begin. Remove the fuel cap and be sure that any pressure in the fuel system has been removed. Relieve the pressure from the fuel system before you begin. Raise the Bonneville with a jack and support it safely on a jack stand.
