Lexmark makes a wide range of office products, including printers and inkjet cartridges for the printers. These cartridges will eventually run out of ink, and Lexmark has a program in place to make it easy for you to return these empty cartridges for recycling. Lexmark even pays for the postage required to send these empty cartridges back to them, making recycling a simple matter of requesting the appropriate shipping package from the company.
1. Request a postage-paid shipping bag for your used inkjet cartridge from Lexmark. You can request this bag by clicking on the “Recycling Programs” link under the About Lexmark category in the links at the bottom of the company’s homepage (see Resources).
2. Fill in all the relevant information on the recycling form and hit “Submit” to send your request to Lexmark. You will receive a recycling bag within two weeks of your request.
3. Put your empty inkjet cartridge into the bag, seal it and put it into a mailbox. Lexmark will then take care of the recycling.
