How to Change a Water Pump on a Rover 200 1.4

The water pump in your Rover 200 must be continually maintained and serviced to ensure the best performance when cooling the engine. If the water pump does not work correctly, it will no longer be able to move coolant from the radiator to the engine. You can pick up the water pump needed for your Rover from your local auto store.

Tools Used: Tools, Drain pan, Wrench set, Nut driver, Replacement water pump, Torque wrench

Change a Water Pump

Turn off the engine and allow it to cool. Pop the hood of the Rover. Use a wrench to loosen the bolt on the clamp that holds the negative cable in place. Lift the negative cable off the battery terminal.
