Help to Open AOL With Internet Explorer

Customers who subscribe to AOL for Internet service must use the AOL Desktop program to connect to the Internet. If you have another connection, such as DSL or cable Internet, you may either use the AOL Desktop program or log in to AOL’s website through another Web browser, such as Internet Explorer. Though the AOL website does not contain all AOL features, you can open many parts of the service through IE.

Opening the Website
Run Internet Explorer by double-clicking its icon on your computer desktop. Click in the address bar, type “www.aol.com” without the quote marks and press “Enter.” On the AOL home page, you will see news headlines from AOL’s own news service as well as from across the Web. Click any headline to read the full article.
