Airplane Mode — often called “Flight Mode” on other phones — disables your Galaxy S4’s ability to transmit signals that could interfere with an airplane’s navigational or communicative systems. Although the phone’s other functions remain enabled, the S4 will be unable to use cellular service, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Once your flight is over, you’ll need to remove the Airplane Mode using one of two methods, so you can regain the full capabilities of your Galaxy S4.
- Press and hold the “Power” button until the Device Options screen appears.
- Tap “Airplane Mode.” The current status of this mode is displayed under this option.
