Your Nokia phone allows you to set a lock code to prevent unwanted use of your phone. Locking your phone, which automatically prevents the keypad from operating, is also handy in keeping your phone from dialing numbers when the device is bouncing around in your purse or back pocket.
Turn on your phone. Go to “Menu.” Choose “Settings” and then “Security.” Type in your current lock code and press “OK.”
Choose “Change Lock Code.” Enter your new combination when prompted. You will then need to enter it a second time.
Tips & Warnings
- If you can’t remember your factory-installed lock code, try “0000.” Some cellular providers use the last four digits in your phone number.
