A Dyna Wide Glide is a motorcycle model manufactured by Harley-Davidson, and a cam tensioner is a part inside an engine that helps synchronize the operation of the cam shaft. Cam shafts ultimately control how much gasoline and how much exhaust will leave any engine cylinder during a combustion cycle. Harley-Davidson owners and dealers have reported numerous problems with the cam tensioners in their current engine which is called a “Twin Cam.” All recent Dyna Wide Glides are equipped with Twin Cam engines.
