Making Ringtones with Free Online Services

Go to www.mp3mer.com or www.makeownringtone.com and upload the MP3 file you want to use as a ringtone. To upload your file, just click on the “Upload” button and then browse for your file. Once you double click on it, it will import into the service and display along a sound-wave graph.

Select the start and end points for your ringtone. It’s likely that your file is too long to turn into a ringtone as is, so you can easliy trim it down. Click on the “Start” marker and drag it to the part on the file you would like your ringtone to begin. Then click on the “Stop” marker and drag it to the part where you would like your ringtone to end. Press the “Play Selected” button to make sure you’re going to make the ringtone that you want. You can easily re-adjust the markers to fit your liking. Just drag the markers around and play the selected portion until you’re happy with your selection.

Go to the “Download” drop-down menu on the right side of the page, and select a method for saving your ringtone. It will be located under “Devices With Removable Storage.” Click on the file you downloaded to your computer in Step 4, and then drag and drop it into your Pantech Jest’s folder. Tips & Warnings

  1. If you’re familiar with audio editing, you can upload your file to audio-editing program instead of a free ringtone-maker online. The directions to create a ringtone with your audio editor will depend on which editing software you’re using. In most cases, you’ll upload the file, edit it, add special effects, and then save it as an MP3 file to your desktop. The edits and special effects you add are completely up to you.
