While your office may have a complete Mac setup, that shouldn’t limit your choices when buying smartphones for your employees. Most Samsung smartphone devices work with Mac computers using Samsung’s phone-syncing software Kies. Kies is like the Samsung version of iTunes: you use it to load your phone with music, to manage contacts and to update firmware. With Kies, you can connect your Samsung phone to your Mac in two different ways.
Kies for OS
Samsung’s Kies software works on all Macs running OS X 10.5 or newer. Samsung recommends having a processor running at 1.8 GHz or faster and a minimum of 512MB of memory. Kies uses up about 100MB of hard drive storage, though you may use up more hard drive space depending on how you use your phone. Photos, videos, and music can take up as much space on your hard drive as the maximum capacity of your phone.
