Download 1) System overview: The Renault tyre pressure monitoring system comprises of 4 tyre pressure transmitters (1 on each valve), a central RF receiver and a control unit (ECU). The purpose of the system is to constantly monitor the individual tyre pressures and inform the driver of any faults within the system via the LCD dash display. Front Right Front Left Each valve emits an RF signal which carries its individual identification number (7 or 8 digit) and the measured tyre pressure. This signal will be emitted every hour when the vehicle is stationary, when the wheel is rotating at 20kmh+ or when there is a rapid loss of pressure.
